	<p>Tiruchendur is famous for Murugan temple. It is the one of the six houses of Lord <a href="http://www.tiruttani.com/blog/"><strong>Muruga</strong></a>. It is also called as Senthilandavar temple. It is one of the most important shrines of Lord Muruga. So it is called as Aarupadai veedu. There are many literary works which explains the glory of Tiruchendur. Many devotees are visiting Tiruchendur daily. People believed that their dreams come true through visiting Tiruchendur. They take great risks in visiting the temple and getting the blessings from Lord Muruga. The temple is spoken for its art works, statues, keerthanas and pasurams. Many tourists also visit Tiruchendur. The people from North and from other countries also visit the temple and this brings revenue for the state. Daily many saints and devotees worship and sing songs about Lord Muruga. Adi Sankara, a great devotee had once got recovered from his illness after worshipping Lord Muruga here. Many festivals are celebrated here such as Vasanthotsavam, Skanda Sashti festival, Tirukalyanam festival etc. </p>
